Background

Ryan Burnett is a Brown University '22 graduate, currently employed at Paramount+ as a Senior Production Coordinator and QA Lead.

After obtaining a degree in Business at Brown, Ryan has centered his career around business, entreprenurship, and software development. In the Spring of 2025, Ryan will attend Georgia Tech part time to obtain his Masters in Computer Science through GA Tech's online program. When he is not hard at work programming or building keyboards, Ryan focuses his life on video editing, poetry, and writing. His artistic pursuits come to life with his YouTube channel - Mr. Lonely.

Ryan is passionate about QA Engineering and Front-End Development and is working on a wide array of projects supported by the automated testing frameworks he is building.

Music Roulette - Highlight Project

Music Roulette [BETA] presents a new way to find music via Spotify Users and Friends!

Instead of relying on Spotify's recomendation alogrithm and methods, you can search for your friends profiles and Music Roulette will assemble a queue of 10 random songs from their public playlists.

Users can save songs and redirect to their selected user's playlist or profile. Take back control of your music listening experience and find new songs in a wholesome and organic way! Take a spin on Music Roulette...

This project uses jQuery and JS to modify the DOM element squares upon user click. Each square has animations and unique sounds that make them easier to identify and remember.

During this course I learned how to build testing frameworks to test CRUD applications. I utilized Postman, TestNG, Cucumber, GraphQL, Hamcrest, JUnit, Allure Reporting, Maven, and Jenkins.

I have used REST Assured at Paramount+ to build testing frameworks for the CMS and scripts for automation to catch bugs within the front-end app.
